Your Life Goal

What is the goal of your life? You may have several goals. Having a goal gives you direction in life. You are going somewhere. Life without any goal can become meaningless and boring. Your choice of a goal in life sets the path you travel.

Consider love as the goal of your life. Love defines your relationship with family and friends. Love is your bond with God. Life without meaningful relationships is empty and vain. Loving God and loving others is what life is all about. "God is love" (1 John 4:8). He made you to love and be loved. That's the reason love is the ultimate goal in life. "Let love be your highest goal" (1 Corinthians 14:1, NLT).

Understand the very essence of God's nature is love. Receive his love for you through his Son. Know that God's greatest demonstration of love is at the cross of Jesus. "But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners" (Romans 5:8, NLT). Know that God loves you with love that is unconditional and everlasting.

Receive God's love in your life through the Holy Spirit. "For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love" (Romans 5:5, NLT). Ask God to fill you with his love. Receive God's love as a gift which you could never buy nor earn. Make love the goal of your life.
