A man and his wife were returning from a Sunday morning worship service. They were discussing the minister's sermon. She said, "The pastor believes God wants us to enjoy life. I've never really thought about life that way. It sounds too good to be true." He replied, "Why shouldn't it be true? He read it from the Bible, beside that, we certainly want our children to enjoy life. Wouldn't God want the same for His children?"
Our heavenly Father has so many good gifts for us to receive. The greatest of all is the gift of His love. When we receive His love, we are able to love God and others. This great gift of God is received by the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 5:5-8). Sad but true, many reject the love of God and the joy of life.
Do you enjoy life? So many things can rob us from the joy of life, including sickness, sorrow, financial difficulty, and broken relationships. However, through all of these things and many more trials and difficulties, God's love is steadfast and sure. He always has more good gifts for us.
God wants you to enjoy your relationship with Him. Receiving God's everlasting and unconditional love, as well as believing in His goodness, will sustain you through the darkest night of the soul. His love never changes. His goodness never fails. Enjoy God, "the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy"(1 Timothy 6:17), and you will enjoy your life.
