Let God Use You

"Therefore if anyone cleanses himself . . .
he will be a vessel for honor,
sanctified and useful for the Master . . ."

2 Timothy 2:21

In the dining room you could see a china cabinet filled with beautiful dishes. None of them had been used for a long time. They may look beautiful, but they were of no use. Our lives can be in the same situation. We may be concerned about how we look and forget to think about our purpose in life. God wants to use us for His glory.

Even beautiful dishes must be washed before they are ready to be used. So it is in our lives. God will use us, but first we must be washed and cleansed from our sins. Our responsibility is to confess our sins to God in prayer. As we turn from those sins, we are ready for the Master's use. Our purpose in life will be fulfilled.

He said to a friend, "I know that God has a purpose for my life, but I have no idea what it is. Sometime I feel like I have just wasted so many years without any purpose at all. I don't know what to do." His friend was a fireman. He said, "At the station, we must have the firetruck and equipment clean and ready for the next call. When the alarm sounds, we are ready to go. Maybe God is giving you time to get ready for His call." He was right. Our responsibility is to be clean and ready. God will use us.

Are you ready for God to use you for His glory? Have you found meaning and purpose in your life? Do you feel like you have wasted years that have been useless? Prepare for God to use you. He has a purpose for your life. Find fulfillment through your divine destiny in Christ.
