Have you heard the hymn Amazing Grace? Most people have. The word grace describes the only way God accepts you. Did you know that you are helpless to change your own life? Only the grace of God can change you.
Your desire and efforts to change your life are useless. When you see yourself as helpless to make a real change, God's grace can enable you. You can no more change your life than a blind man can make himself see. Grace can do in you what you could never do for yourself. That's what makes grace so amazing.
Grace is a person. His name is Jesus. He enables you to trust him. He has the power to change your life. His power is not force or coercion. His power is love. It is love divine changing your heart. It is overwhelming love, so amazing. Jesus is God's amazing grace to you.
