Let God Love You

God's love will never be forced upon you. His love pursues you and invites you to respond, but there is no coercion on his part. Love must always be received. It can be refused.

Have you experienced the love of God? It's one thing to hear the songs and sermons about God's love, yet another thing to actually experience his love. You could be a very religious person without knowing his love in a personal way.

You may ask, "How can I really experience God's love?" God's love is experienced through his Son. Jesus came into this world to reveal God's love for all mankind. Look at Christ crucified. He proved God's love for you, when he died on the cross to take away all of your sins. With outstretched arms and crucified hands, he loves you that much.

Only the Holy Spirit can make God's love in Christ real to you. His love changes our hearts to trust him and love him. His love works through us to love others. It all begins when you let God love you.

"But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners" (Romans 5:8, NLT).
"For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love" (Romans 5:5, NLT).
